Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Alan Stephens asked how to find the full minor version (UC level) of IDS on Solaris. Nick Kataria and Hal Maner said any onstat command prints the full version, such as 7.30.UC7. Wile E. Coyote suggested oninit -V, which also shows the patch level, e.g. 7.31.UC4X1. One reply from Watawinona was a joking, unhelpful remark. Solved.

Assuming the engine is up and running, any onstat command will display the
full version number, e.g.:
onstat -

the best way to get version number of IDS is
oninit -V
This command displays also the patch number of your engine
( if you have installed a patch) e. g.:
7.31.UC4X1
