Re: Informix 4GL Compiler for NT?

It figures. As soon as you say 4gl doesn't run on NT, so Linux makes an excellent alternative, what do you get? 4gl on Linux? No, 4gl on NT. H2dd Wow! Call that fast response to market demands. One informal request, and pronto here comes 4gl for NT. I want to try that one out - "is there a 4gl compiler for Linux?" H3dd Ok guys, you know what I'm up to. There has recently been a discussion on 4gl on NT, and the consensus wasn't exactly enthusiastic. It makes me wonder, why is Informix thinking of catering for the 4gl user on NT, with no significant market demand (and with a competitor product already there, but that's another story), while after all the raving and ranting on Linux there still isn't a clear position? This isn't just a rhetoric question. The answer to this may well be the key to a better vendor-customer collaboration.
