A migration question. Current H/W: Data-General Aviion 5200 Current Online: 5.02.UC2 New H/W: Hewlett-Packard 9000 E-55 (Dev) 9000 G-70 (Prod) 9000 H-70 (Prod) New Online: 7.x. We will be migrating from 'current' to 'new' in approxomately 6-8 weeks. We will be coming up on 5.02 initially in order to verify that there are no pitfalls in HP-UX, then at some later date, our intention is to install 7.x. This was prior to more than a few caveats from the NET, including the comment from hector@vrinet.com about receiving new releases on a more-than-monthly basis. Our INFORMIX Admin staff was NOT pleased to read that. My question. I know that initially we will have nothing running to truly utilize the full power of 7.x. By the same token, is there anything to be CONCERNED about, knowing that we are implementing an application which runs on 5.02 with no known problems? Any major problems with the latest release of HP-UX? We have the option of remaining on 5.02, going to 6.x or making the leap (of faith?) to 7.x. I am very interested in comments from any 7.x users... GOOD as well as bad. Thanks.
