For example we use } Gupta SQL Windows to connect to an Online 5.04 database via I-Net and } use Windows on the client PCs. Each individual program (*.exe) on a client } can have its own database connection, which to the engine are distinct. } Thus if you do a commit on one connection the other is not changed. } You would then have to pass the data from the committed transaction } to the other program, and I guess that you would do this using normal } Windows techniques (messages, DDE or whatever ). Thanks for the response. What you mention above, however, is exactly what I want to avoid. Ie.I want the same program to have the multiple connections. I have currently implemented something like you mention above but find that the overheads associated with firing the second to nth programs up unacceptable. Theo Kramer theo@rascal.co.za
