Be sure to install each version in it's own directory. And be sure that your instance number for each is always different. In most cases, you can look at the same instance with the two versions by changing the INFORMIXDIR and ONCONFIG variables. If you need help...Let me know.. I am currently running (on the same HP server) 7.30, 7.24, 7.22, 7.14 and Oracle 8.05 in a test/upgrade environment and able to share the same database with each version of Informix.
