In the meantime, you can continue to compile C++ applications using the 3.7 or 3.5 SDK you have been using they will run properly but will need LD_LIBRARY_PATH set to the older INFORMIXDIR containing the correct C++ libraries under which it was compiled unless you compile them with -static.
