Is there already a file "/tmp/rrr" ? If so: what user/group/permission ? If not: try create this file (date >/tmp/rrr) and chmod 777. Does it work then ? Which user executes the stored procedure ? Create a debug entry in your stored procedure using code like that: define local_user char(32); define local_command char(255); select USER into local_user from informix.systables where tabid = 1; let local_command = "echo '" || local_user || "' >>/tmp/debug"; system local_command; Start the procedure and view the debug file. Login as the user shown in the debug file and try to create /tmp/rrr manually. Still doesn't work ? Mmmmh, maybe ask some experts ;-) Greets, Chris
