I have the same problem with installing RDS on my Dynix 486
I had a 4.13 4gl version and informix send me 4.15 RDS
after i installed everything i was geting the hit that
it can not find libxio.a. I found it on my system but that did
not help. I have been talking to Informix and they sad that that is
an OS issue.
Try looking in /usr/options/base/BOM.current and see if the library
that you looking for is in that file.
If you get anywhare with this i would apreciate if you can let me know

} deleted the
} -lsocket option in the line where the compiler (cc) is invoked but it
} gave me the error "undefined symbol gettimeofday".
} I don't know what to do.
