All three DB vendors will continue to win accounts but the momentum is swinging to Informix 'cause it just plain *works* and has the architecture to continue blowing the doors off Sybase and Oracle. As far as hardware is concerned, again I go to the big wins and HP is taking them all. HP and Informix have a performance lab where the Informix software is tweeked to run a efficiently and as quickly as possible. They (HP & Informix) have a good thing going.
