Hello to All! I have installed an engine Informix 7.31 TD6 on Windows 2000 Server, and need to generate for a Stored Procedure a flat file. The problem is that the same one has a length of 369 characters and the Varchar has the limitation of 255 characters, and this Informix's version does not support the LVarchar. I be be very grateful if someone can bring a solution over. I am grateful his time and attention. Regards! Gustavo Echenique
Solution: Download the Free to use Informix Innovator-C Edition v11.70 from the IBM web sight and put your data into that instead. Not only does it support LVARCHAR, but it also supports external tables which is a better way to move data from the database to flat files. Go to www.informix.com and look for the Trials and Demos link and follow it to the Innovator-C download. Art Art S.
