OnBar (Omniback 3.1) imported recovery failure
Posted in 2000
HP9000 R-Class HP-UX 10.20 DLT8000 Omniback 3.1 Informix DS 7.24.UC4X3 I am trying to restore a full system archive created using OnBar integrated with the Omniback Storage Manager on a completely new UNIX server. The 'receiving' instance has been created and named as per the source instance archived to DLT. All critical files from the source instance have been copied to the correct locations (oncinfg, ixbar, oncfg*,sqlhosts) on the 'receiving' server. When the restore is initiated the following errors are reported:- bar_act.log 2000-01-10 16:19:22 189 188 /opt/informix/7.24.UC4/bin/onbar -r -w 2000-01-10 16:19:37 189 188 Successfully connected to Storage Manager.2000-01-10 16:19:37 189 188 This object has not been backed up. /var/opt/omni/log/informix.log (Mon Jan 10 16:19:10 GMT 2000) Starting /opt/omni/lbin/util_informix ... 16:19:37 : (189): IBK-bsa : [Critical] Unable to query OB2 database about OB2BAR set /lisco1_shm/rootdbs/0 (dbspace). The set probably does not exist. The Omniback restore session reports a 'BSA error 26'. Further information, the DLT has been imported to the local Omniback database and does contain the correct archive. ANy ideas..... TIA Colin
