Hi, I want to : Outer join to tblB only if outer join tblA returns something first. (I have to do this in one select statement.) How do I put the above statement into SQL ? IDS 7.30.UC1 HP-UX 10.20 Thanks, Sunil
Isn't that the definition of OUTER join? For every row returned from the 'inner' table join a corresponding row from the outer table if it exists, else return a NULL row. If tablA returns no rows what will the outer table (tblB) join to? Art S. Kagel "Bhaskarla, Sunil" wrote: > > Hi, > I want to : > Outer join to tblB only if outer join tblA returns something first.
