long transaction

Hello! We are working under Informix 5.0. If a I select about 100000 records into a temp table using EXEC SQL EXECUTE IMMEDIATE, I get error -458 (Long transaction). The same statement runs well using DBACCESS. Thanks for help, Bernhard
