Are you using logical volumes? If not, I believe there is something like the first 50 pages or so that you need to leave untouched for the device header. So each one of your chunks should use that as its offset. And, find out if the size of the chunk(s) you are specifying to Informix is the same as the actual size of the device. I've seen this once before on an Online engine because the sys. admin had used a the wrong block size for partitions, so instead of tru 2GB (2 * 1024 * 1024 * 1024 bytes), I had 2,000,000,000 bytes!
