Using <SCRIPT SRC="../src.js"></SCRIPT> Using IIF2000 APB2.0

When embedding Javascript in HTML source it is often useful to use the <SCRIPT SRC="../src.js"></SCRIPT> method to separate Javascript from HTML source. Separating HTML from Javascript in this way keeps your HTML files smaller and easier to manage. I would like to know if anyone is using this method to embed Javascript in HTML using IIF2000 App Page Builder (APB 2.0) since none of the examples I have seen so far have done this? Also, is there an alternate way to edit HTML apart from using APB 2.0 which has no search and replace text for example? Moses
I'd be very wary of using relative paths, 'cos if you are delivering pages to browsers with cookies disabled the session id forms part of the url and your relative paths are screwed. Every now and again under IE5, I know I should use a proper browser, despiting having cookies enabled I get session encoded URL. I can only guess that IE5 is responding fast enough a status enquiry. The app does keep working though. Back to the question, the only js we use is just brought in as an include when the page is delivered and it doesn't give us any problems. We use Data Director, not necessarly that great but works better than APB, you can pull down an eval from www.intraware.com, you'll need the SDK as well to get the connectivity Moses Elias wrote: > > When embedding Javascript in HTML source it is often useful to use the > <SCRIPT SRC="../src.js"></SCRIPT> method to separate Javascript from > HTML source.
