shared memory not initialized...

hi! I am new in informix. I installed informix universal server 9.12. OS version is solaris 2.7. but I can't use informix. I'm getting the following error message during the informix initialzing : shared memory not initialized for INFORMIXSERVER 'ius912' ( INFORMIXSERVER is ius912 ) So I serarched log file message, I'm getting a message in th log file : 15:48:43 shmat: [EMFILE][24]: out of shared memory segments, check systemSHMSEG 15:48:43 mt_shm_init: can't create resident segment I don't know the reason. please someon explain this for me and suggest a remedy....

Look at the release notes ($INFORMIXDIR/release/en_us/0333/...) Look at your /etc/system. Reconcile the differences and reboot.
