When I tried to run "oninit -i" on my Redhat Linux 5.2, I came up with the following "online.log". Please let me know what's wrong. I suspect a problem in your connection type (NETTYPE, DBSERVERNAME, DBSERVERALIASES) definitions. Art S. Kagel
