Does anybody know where NT is trying to find that :service, or what the problem might be? The real problem is that you are trying to install some real bad software. Check the FAQ for real ODBC drivers that are server based and don't need all this stupid stuff on your Windows machine. http://www.openlinksw.com is one alternative. http://www.vision.sco.com another. If you should realy want to find these files search for hosts*.* under your winnt directory. On my machine it's in: C:\\winnt35\\system32\\drivers\\etc but then again why on earth should I have to work with something as arcane, stupid, crasy++++++ as this? For the Informix connectivity stupidity library - yet another addition.
