spin locks

when running onstat -g spi i get the following: 63 16732208 265590.60 mtcb vproc_sync_lock The "vproc_sync_lock" is the name of a resource which is resulting in long spins. Does anyone know what this resource is? Is this causing a perf? How can I tune? Thanks
