Session information, along with a lot of other stuff, is maintained in shared memory.
Informix has a data structure that they use to store this info. and that is constantly
changing due to the dynamics of the server. Onstat gives you a snapshot of the
server state, and cannot access this information while the data structure is changing.
The thing is, it's changing very quickly. Try to run it a few times and you'll see
the expected output in one of those attempts.
You might be seeing thread info. because that piece of info. is not volatile
at that moment.
