Do you mean that you are using that format for *displaying* DATE datatypes (via "format=" in forms or via DBDATE="dmy2/")? If so, users will only see "00" in the fields, which by itself is fine... BUT, entering a date value with "00" for year will be interpreted as the year 1900.
