Sometimes, bugs are unique to one version and therefore give the appearance of incompatibility -- this has been decreased with time. The most severe difference before 4.X or so had to do with default handling of conversion errors (RDS always noticed them, C4GL generally didn't). Starting around 4.13, the known (and somewhat planned) differences in error handling were thrown out in favor of more consistent practices. A rather lengthy Release Note on the subject describes the issue in painful detail (after all, I did write it). See the topic "CHANGES TO 4GL ERROR HANDLING" in your TOOLREL_4.1 or TOOLREL_6.0 as applicable. > We are upgrading to the 6.0 release of 4gl and I am >wondering if it is time to reevaluate that decision.
