Sun IDS Server

Hello, I am trying to get some IDS engines up and running on Solaris 7 Intel Edition and so far, so good. My question is: I have to be able to get Linux clients to connect to the IDS box using some sort of web page. The idea is, have the Linux boxes running a web-browser with a form that needs to be inserted in to the dataabse. We are looking at using Apache for our web-server and Perl/CGI and/or PHP for some of the database integration, but Linux uses Sockets and Solaris uses Transport-Layer-Interface. Is there anyway we can get this to work together, if not, do you have any other suggestions? You help is GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks. The underlying network protocol is still TCP/IP for both Linux and Solaris. Only the network API is different and the Informix products have no trouble conversing between SOC and TLI systems. Art S.
