I can't imagine there would be. Just follow the same rules/considerations as if you were going to run 2 IDS 7.3 engines on the same box or 2 IDS 9.4 engines on the same box. -----Original Message----- From: G.March@nib.com.au [mailto:G.March@nib.com.au] Sent: Thursday, March 04, 2004 7:19 PM To: ids@iiug.org; forum.subscriber@iiug.org Subject: IDS compatability [2613] =20 Can I run an IDS 7.3 db on the same server as I am running an IDS 9.4 db? =20 Are there any issues with doing this? =20 Cheers = *********************************************************************** ***= *** The information transmitted in this message and attachments (if any) are= intended only for the person or entity to which it is addressed. I have found it simpler to use a copy of sqlhosts in each $INFORMIXDIR/etc. $PATH has to be closely looked at, as it is often set in a users profile and appended to later. There is no any issue as long as you install your product ( And the correspondig toools - ie 4gl ) in diffrent directories and point your users tho the correspondig directories. You must set carefully : INFORMIXDIR INFORMIXSERVER ONCONFIG SQLHOSTS
