See the notes below for where to get DBI and DBD::Informix. When you get DBD::Informix, you will find a file Informix.License which discusses some of the issues with using OWS as supplied with Netscape LiveWire Pro (which is, I assume, related to the Netscape Enterprise Server). Note that you will need an ESQL/C Development licence on at least one machine to be able to compile DBD::Informix, and this is not bundled with LiveWire Pro. If Netscape Enterprise Server is significantly different from LiveWire Pro, then please send me more information about it -- or a URL where I can find out more (I'm sure searching http://www.netscape.com would do some of it, but a more precise URL would be appreciated). Yours, Jonathan Leffler (johnl@informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h> Where is DBD::Informix ====================== The latest version of DBD::Informix should be available by accessing: http://www.hermetica.com/technologia/perl/DBI You can also go to CPAN (Comprehensive Perl Archive Network) via: http://www.perl.org/CPAN/modules/by-module/07_Database_Interfaces There are two sub-directories: DBI for the latest version of DBI, and DBD for the latest version of DBD::Informix and all the other DBD modules. In case of doubt, I use the FTP site: ftp://wcarchive.cdrom.com/perl/CPAN/modules/by-module/DBD This is based in Walnut Creek, near San Francisco, CA, USA. There may well be another CPAN mirror site closer to you -- check in the web pages for The Perl Institute (http://www.perl.org). Note that CPAN automatically multiplexes your download requests to a mirror site near you. Last updated: 1997-05-20 for DBD::Informix Version 0.55
