For some unknown reason, PERFORM actually checks the table permissions of the user. Being DBA is not good enough, you must actually have SELECT permission on the table in order for PERFORM to display the values. As you saw, PERFORM will still query and tell you how many rows were retrieved, but the data appears to be blank. All the other related products seem to display the values if you are DBA, but PERFORM does not. PERFORM does not require that you must be the owner of the table, but the owner or user "informix" must have granted you select permission for the table. } +----------------------------+-------------------------------------------+ } | Dr. Richard Spitz | INTERNET: spitz@ana.med.uni-muenchen.de | } | EDV-Gruppe Anaesthesie | Tel : +49-89-7095-3421 | } | Klinikum Grosshadern | FAX : +49-89-7095-8886 | } | Munich, Germany | | } +----------------------------+-------------------------------------------+ -- Bryan Klopfenstein bryan@carsinfo.com CARS Information Systems, Inc.
