Use the dbinfo() function.
For ie.
select name, dbinfo("DBSPACE",partnum) dbspace from sysdatabases
will return the dbspace in which a database resides.
Do the same for tables.

Get my listdb utility which produces such a report. listdb.ec is contained in the package utils2_ak in the IIUG Software Repository. It is best if you link it with the GNU version of getopt due to the optional argument to the -t flag but it is usable with the basic UNIX getopt also (see the notes in the README.1st file). Sample output from 'listdb -D -d flintstones -h myserver_net -t' on my system: There is currently 1 matching database: # Database/Table/Index Owner DBSpace Created Logging NLS === ====================== ======== ================== ========== ========== === 1 flintstones kagel dbspace4 04/30/1998 NON-LOGGED No a kagel dbspace4 07/09/1998 account kagel dbspace4 03/22/1999 auslander kagel dbspace4 09/14/1999 b kagel dbspace4 07/09/1998 bam_bam informix dbspace4 07/20/1999 bambam kagel dbspace4 06/17/1998 barney kagel dbspace4 05/10/1999 base kagel dbspace4 10/16/1998 branch kagel dbspace4 03/22/1999 c kagel dbspace4 07/09/1998 check1 kagel dbspace1 08/31/1998 dbspace5 dbspace3 dbspace4 Idx: a1 dbspace1 Idx: a2 dbspace1 Idx: a2 dbspace3 Idx: a1 dbspace5 Idx: a1 dbspace3 Idx: a1 dbspace4 chemicalformulae kagel dbspace4 07/10/1998 chemicals kagel dbspace4 07/10/1998 device kagel dbspace1 08/31/1998 dbspace3 dbspace4 dbspace5 Idx: system-rowid dbspace1 Idx: system-rowid dbspace3 Idx: system-rowid dbspace4 Idx: system-rowid dbspace5 elements kagel dbspace4 07/10/1998 float_test kagel dbspace4 12/14/1999 fred informix dbspace4 07/08/1998 frederick kagel dbspace4 09/01/1999 george kagel dbspace4 12/14/1998 globallabels kagel dbspace6 09/28/1999 hdrs kagel dbspace8 11/04/1998 history kagel dbspace4 03/22/1999 inds kagel dbspace4 01/25/1999 isotopes kagel dbspace4 07/10/1998 joshua kagel dbspace4 06/28/1999 keywords kagel dbspace4 03/25/1999 numbers kagel dbspace4 10/01/1998 query_header kagel dbspace4 06/23/1998 returns kagel dbspace4 09/15/1998 sabre_tooth kagel dbspace4 08/12/1998 series kagel dbspace4 10/16/1998 sizetest kagel dbspace4 07/29/1999 t1 kagel dbspace4 08/21/1998 Idx: t1_1 dbspace5 t12 kagel dbspace4 05/11/1999 t1_dia kagel dbspace4 03/15/1999 t1_vio kagel dbspace4 03/15/1999 t2 kagel dbspace4 08/21/1998 t23 kagel dbspace4 11/18/1999 t24 kagel dbspace4 11/16/1999 t25 kagel dbspace4 11/22/1999 t26 kagel dbspace4 12/01/1999 t27 kagel dbspace4 12/01/1999 t27_frac kagel dbspace4 12/01/1999 t27_hour kagel dbspace4 12/01/1999 t27_month kagel dbspace4 12/01/1999 t27_year kagel dbspace4 12/01/1999 t28 kagel dbspace4 12/02/1999 t2_dia_mine kagel dbspace4 03/15/1999 t2_vio_mine kagel dbspace4 03/15/1999 t3 kagel dbspace4 01/29/1999 t30 kagel dbspace4 12/13/1999 t34 kagel dbspace4 11/18/1999 t4 kagel dbspace4 02/03/1999 t5 kagel dbspace4 08/11/1999 t7 kagel dbspace4 08/04/1999 t8 kagel dbspace4 08/02/1999 tab1 kagel dbspace4 07/27/1998 tablex kagel dbspace4 10/15/1999 teller kagel dbspace4 03/22/1999 tester kagel dbspace4 11/03/1998 tester3 kagel dbspace4 11/03/1998 tm_rental kagel dbspace4 08/05/1998 transaction kagel dbspace6 02/18/1999 transaction_item kagel dbspace6 02/17/1999 volume_p kagel dbspace4 12/01/1998 wilma kagel dbspace4 05/01/1998 work2 kagel dbspace4 09/29/1999 Art S.
