Problem recovering Informix 4.1

I am developing client/server applications with Delphi 1.02 in the client side and Informix 4.1 in the server side, on a Sun Sparc 20 running SunOS. Two days ago, the Informix server went down, and after several unsuccessful attempts to recover it, all I got was the following message stored in the log, once for each time the recover was tried. I looked the Administrator's Guide, but it doesn't help me too much. It says that Initialisation should be tryed again and, if it doesn't work, data should be recovered from a backup copy that, unfortunatelly, I don't happen to have. The question is: Does anybody of you know of any mean to get the Informix server running, without lose of data if possible, or with the least lose if not. Any help given would be very helpful.
