Informix SE 7.24.UC5 on Linux

I am having connect problems with Informix running on Linux.
If I type dbaccess instance@database, I am able to connect. But, if I go
into dbaccess, then select 'connect', enter the instance name, enter a
valid user name, enter a valid password, it returns error -952 ( 952:
User's password is not correct for the database server)
Has anyone seen this error before, or does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Sean
You will have this problem if you are using shadow password file or PAM
authentication on Linux. Infomrix is fixing this in a future version but
for now...

LEAVE the name and password blank and it will let u connect. I have
Informix on Linux and I had the same problem. I just pressed return for
both user and password prompts and it connects.
