Problem with continous backup !

I've a problem with the continous backup: the tape device for the continous
backup is on /dev/rmt0h .
I write "ontape -c " and the system say me "Please mount 1 on /dev/rmt0h
and press return to continue....".
I put the tape on device and press return, but when pass 5 or 10 minutes,
the system umount the tape and I don't know
why. It doesn't give me any information ( any logs ) about the problem with
the tape.
Can anybody tell me something about this?
Sorry for my poor english.
Thank You very much.

Anything in the system message logs (usually /var/adm/messages)?
Art S. Kagel
check the tape-device with
mt -f /dev/rmt0h status
and the binary.errlog for error messages
