summary of locks overflow

hi, firstly thank you for all the suggestions i received for taking care of the locks overflow problem. i was running ods7.23uc1 on hp-ux10.20. we encountered sqlerr 244, and isam error of 134. we decided to change the params of the onconfig, start afresh. did unload and reload, created all the indexes, and tested the long transaction. still encountered the same error. we'd forgotten to run update stats. Executed the transaction after that, and NO ERRORS ! changed the params back to its old values when we encountered the errors,bounced the server, tried the same transaction again, and still no errors.! ultimately it was not our onconfig that's causing the locks overflow, we'd allocated 200000 to it, but in forgetting to run update stats. at least that's the conclusion that we came to. anyone else hv any ideas on this? thanks. - HK Chan Thought for the day: The only thing that hurts more than paying income tax is not having to pay income tax.
