Does anyone know of (or has conducted him/herself) any research = comparing the network traffic that results from queries against a = database through the use of a synonym (tieing one table from one = instance to another) to that traffic that results from replicating = (through enterprise replication) a table to a different database? Thanks in advance for any information on this subject ... and thanks = again for the help given on other subjects lately. Take care. Clifton Bean

The remote server was adjacent, connected to the same 100MB switch. That is up to 10 seconds for a 1 second query locally. Colin Bull c.bull@videonetworks.com
