IDS / OS400 DRDA
Hi, i tried to send some requests between OS400 and IDS (11.50FC9, AIX6.1). I succeed from OS400 to IDS by configuring a drsoctcp server alias and modifying CCSID on OS400 side. But i didn't succeed from IDS to OS400. Does anybody know what to do ? Is there another product to install ? What to do in configuration ? Informix seems to be connected to AS, but no answer from connection on IDS side. It is hanging while connecting and no error message, no possibility to send a request. Any idea ? Regards Jeff
IDS will accept DRDA connections from other servers like OS4000 AS and DB2, but it cannot connect out to another database natively. You have to get the Informix Enterprise Gateway product to be able to do that. Art Art S. Hi, i successfully installed informix enterprise gateway to be able to communicate with AS400. The configuration is done and daemon gwd started. With gwdba, the connection test succeed. But i can not do the bind package operation, i tested some environment variables and did some tests, but everytime the bind package operation failed with this error : -29000:Application Server error ([ -204 42704 QSQ06010],QSYS.A19UX-TINF,COLLEC TION). Directories and rights are fine, i added some users with gwdba and it creates files in gw/sysinfo directory. I don't now exactly what triggers this error. With DB2, it means on object is missing ... any idea ? Regards Jeff
