Load / unload error - "Number of values in load files is not egal ..."
Posted in 2005
Hi,
With the help of some of you i finally managed to use load and unload
functions in dbacces.
I have a main database (dataOne) and a backup database (dataTwo), the schema
of the two database are exactly the same.
i made a request to unload all the table i need to backup :
unload to 'd:\\tmp\\table1.txt' select * from table1;
unload to 'd:\\tmp\\table2.txt' select * from table2;
unload to 'd:\\tmp\\table3.txt' select * from table3;.
.
unload to 'd:\\tmp\\tablen.txt' select * from tablen;
Running this request cause no error on dbaccess and all the backup file are
created.
The i select my backup database and run the following request :
load from 'd:\\tmp\\table1.txt' insert into table1;
load from 'd:\\tmp\\table2.txt' insert into table2;
load from 'd:\\tmp\\table3.txt' insert into table3;.
.
load from 'd:\\tmp\\tablen.txt' insert into tablen;
when i run this one, i get the error message : "number of values in load
files is not egal to number of columns" but not for all the lines of the
load file.
i checked that no pipe (default delimiter) was used in the database and even
tried to use another delimiter.
Thanks for your help
Fred
