I've never used PostGres, but I've got a linux box by my
desk, so here goes :-)
Having had a look at pgaccess, I'd say the closest thing
is Informix Relational Object Manager. This is a windows
program that connects to an Informix server (version 7
or higher). You can download it for free from the Informix
web site. It allows you to create and manipulate tables,
and run SQL queries against your database. If your
server is unix, then the alternative (non-GUI) is dbaccess,
which is shipped with the engine. I'm not entirely sure
if there is a GUI equivalent for Unix, but I think there
may be (I don't know, because I didn't install X-windows
on the SCO server at work!!).
