As you say, these phantom threads are identifiable because they do no work. You can only dictate the number of KAIO threads by setting the number of CPU VPs, which as I alluded to earlier, is based on the number of physical CPUs. We are running 7.31FC7 on HP-UX 11 with two CPU and I see 4 KAIO and it is strange that only the first and third KAIO vps are running.Is this a bug on HP-UX ,too?
