Informix with LiveWire Question

I have two demo informix databases installed and being accessed through Javascript as a LiveWire extension. Here is my problem: The first database was created in the rootdbs and everything is working properly with that database. I have printed its contents and performed INSERT SQL statements through javascript and have determined that they worked. On the second database, I created in a separate dbspace that I created and I can't get the same Javascript connect to work as I did in the previous example in the rootdbs. I have ascertained that the second database and table to exist as I have been able to examine the table contents through the dbadmin of LiveWire. I am wondering if I have to specify the dbspace I am using from javascript. Note: When I use the SQL query fascility in dbadmin, I don't need to make note of a dbspace and it still dispays the table info. If anyone could help me with this I would much appreciate it.
