Has anyone had experience with an Informix DB and 4GL apps both running on an NT compared to both running on a unix box? How comparable/reliable is the NT version? Any gotchas? (like user-added C-functions) -- Colin
Well as far as the Hmmmmmmm on d4gl, All I can say is we have a web application which is totally written in D4gl. we also have applications in 4gl which we moved from our sun Solaris box strait to a DELL NT box, compiled and ran the apps which do some complex processing and load tables. The performance on the DELL box NT is far superior to that of the Sun Box as is the speed of our online query system which is also written in D4gl and Running on another dell box NT. The External and Internal Users access iur query system via the web. D4GL hmmmmmm I think its great and very usefull.....
