If so I apologize. I remember such an incident not too very long ago - somebody called me to task and we went offline and discovered - lo and behold that the hp version did not support terminfo and was documented as not doing so in the release notes. I thought I had come back and issued an apology at the time. Sigh... > Actually that was the tone of my original reply - check $INFORMIXDIR/etc/release for the release notes of your specific machine.
