Do you know if it's possible to find carriage return in a string field in Informix database? This is for SUN 5.8 and IDS 7.31. This is for SUN 5.8 and IDS 7.31. There was a discussion this week about ASCII and ORD (or CHR) functions in c.d.i. I pointed out that there is a package called ASCII at the IIUG web site that provides you with a function CHR(10) which could be used to help find carriage return in strings. -- Jonathan Leffler #include <disclaimer.h> Email: jleffler@earthlink.net, jleffler@us.ibm.com Guardian of DBD::Informix v2008.0513 -- http://dbi.perl.org/ "Blessed are we who can laugh at ourselves, for we shall never cease to be amused."
