ERWin - Changing date to datetime -Reply
Posted in 1997
Timothy, When in INFORMIX Database Schema, Column Property Editor, INFORMIX Datatype, and you select 'datetime <large> to <small>', in the box where your selection appears, edit <large> to read 'year' and <small> to read 'minute' (without the single quotes). Now when you generate the schema, or perform a BiDirectional Sync, the DDL will contain the proper values from here on out. LogicWorks simply realized there would be too many <large>/<small> combinations to explicitly provide a menu selection for each one. -- Sky +-------(southwel@smtpgw.maricopa.gov)-------+- Maricopa County -+ | Schuyler L. I am connecting to an Informix database (7.14) using ERWin to do all of my updates to the database. When I first created this database, I used the date datatype for all my date columns. Now I want to change them all to "datetime year to minute". The problem is I only get "datetime <large> to <small>" in my DDL and must be edited before updating the database. Is there a way to set the large and small variables so that I get the correct entry into the statements. Thanx
