What about running SCO binaries under iBCS on Linux? There have been reports of successful operation of the SE engine in the various Linux newsgroups. On a sidenote, in the Sybase newsgroup, a Sybase employee posted that they were considering releasing a _free_ source code version of their RDMBS prepared for Linux, but shall offer no support services for it, just a "go-ahead-and- use-it,-if-it-works-for-you-then-groovy,-else-if-it-don't-then-don't-bother-us" support policy. I doubt that this proposed offer will ever materialize, though. Not that I think enough of Sybase to invest any of my time fooling around with it anyway unless I was bored :-) -- ===================================================================== = Neal Howard neal@metronet.com '91 XLH-1200 DoD #686 AMA NRA = = "Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear, Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair.
