how to tune database for HDR
Posted in 2004
Hi,
Running IDS9.21 UC6 on solaris 5.8 operating system.
We have two systems, production and backup which are
linked through HDR. Recently the production crashed
so it was rebuilt. After the rebuilding level 0 backup
was taken on the backup server and an ontape -p done
on the production for replication. The process
completed successfully and the command onmode -d etc
issued for replication to begin. But the only problem
now is the sending of the logs. The production system
is taking too long to write the logs it receives from
the other server. The network is fine. a copy of the
onstat -p showed that % cached for write is 0%.Anybody has any idea how I can tune the database for
the logs to be written faster?
Thanks
Leona
