Hi, I've created a field with type text in a table. When I try to into a record into the table using dbaccess. An error message is displayed."617: A blob data type must be supplied within this context." Could anyone please advice. Thank you. Kiat

Create your data file just like you would for a char column. If you want to access the column for "serious" purposes, you will need to use the loc_t data type. This is explained very well in the ESQL for programmers manual. Rudy
