For some reason the networker software, legato is having some trouble -
and the following output from onstat -l gives me concern.
In the interim, while the legato software is being worked on,
is there anything i should do ?
do a fake level 0?

You could do an ontape -a to clear the logs. When you have Legato
cleaned up tape a level 0 archive since onbar cannot use the logs that
ontape saves. Also seriously consider adding more logspace, 10 8MB
logs is just not enough for realworld servers. I use 76 100MB logs for
our servers and I know installations that typically use 70 + 500MB logs.

thanks.
in the meantime, i have noticed some backups took place, although the
100% statistic remains in place i.e.;
address number flags uniqid begin size used %used

Once the log has been used, it shows 100% (or whatever value it was at) until
it is reused.

Informix no longer marks the logs free (flag 'F') until immediately
before they are reused or if by some weird coincidence when the log is
backed up there are no current sessions with transactions open in that
particular log, which almost never happens. The 'F' flag can only be
set immediately after the log is backed up or immediately before it is
reused so in practice it never is.
