CLI and SQLParamOptions

Hi, I'm trying to use SQLParamOptions for multi-row inserts. Unfortunately I am getting different behavior between the Informix Driver (2.80) and the Intersolv driver (3.01). When a row in the set fails, the driver sets the 'irow' variable to the row number in the set that failed. The problem is that the Informix driver appears to use a 0 based index for the failed row whereas the Intersolv driver and the documentation are consistent with using a 1 based index for the failed row. As you can see, this difference wreaks havoc on my application which was coded according to the ODBC documentation. Has anyone else observed this behavior? Is Informix aware of this? What can be done about this short of determing the driver vendor and coding accordingly? I'd prefer not to do it this way in the event that Informix addresses this issue. Thanks for whatever information you can provide. -- Harvey ======================================================================= . _ . |\\_|/__/| Harvey Bornstein / / \\/ \\ \\ Ardent Software, Inc. /__|O||O|__ \\ 50 Washington St. |/_ \\_/\\_/ _\\ | Westboro, MA 01851 | | (____) | || 508-366-3888 x3716 \\/\\___/\\__/ // (_/ || mailto:harvey.bornstein@ardentsoftware.com ========================================================================

Is there a patch for 2.80? -- ======================================================================= . _ . |\\_|/__/| Harvey Bornstein / / \\/ \\ \\ Ardent Software, Inc. /__|O||O|__ \\ 50 Washington St. |/_ \\_/\\_/ _\\ | Westboro, MA 01851 | | (____) | || 508-366-3888 x3716 \\/\\___/\\__/ // (_/ || mailto:harvey.bornstein@ardentsoftware.com ========================================================================
