Heat getting to you? *rofl* Well you believe in yourself. We've got to give you that... I read that page before I posted. Back in the days I used to be a life guard Instructor as well as First Aid instructor at University of Kaiserslautern. Hired by the sports faculty... What does that make me? Professor for emergency medicine? Serge -- Serge Rielau DB2 Solutions Development IBM Toronto Lab

But it does seem that this thread has exposed a rather pronounced insecurity at IBM because you've been putting a lot of energy into doing everything other than giving these folks an honest answer to an honest question: "Is IBM actually doing something with IDS." I think they mean other than feeding them into the program I teach. To paraphrase an American hamburger chain's commercial: "Where's the beef?" -- Daniel A. You are an instructor at continuing education. It's an honest job and I'm sure it also brings in a lot of leads. Now for the second part: You teach Oracle. Teaching Oracle <> Teaching databases > But it does seem that this thread has exposed a rather pronounced > insecurity at IBM because you've been putting a lot of energy into > doing everything other than giving these folks an honest answer to an > honest question: "Is IBM actually doing something with IDS." Get of your rear and download Cheetah. Play with it! Read the docs! If you still don't have an answer to your question afterwards let's talk. Spreading FUD is so unattractive. And these posts, they kind of stay around forever.... Later Serge -- Serge Rielau DB2 Solutions Development IBM Toronto Lab

Try reading that bio again and see if there is something obvious there you missed. Your desire to avoid dealing with the question posted in this thread's subject is overwhelming your otherwise near perfect record on similar matters. BTW: Other than being an IBM employee what connection do you have to Informix other than trying to kill it by using its technology to improve DB2? -- Daniel A.
