Does risql connect via odbc?

Administrators, I'm trying to connect to Redbrick 6 via a 3rd party application on Solaris 2.7. This application connects via Odbc. I CAN NOT conect via this application or via the "adhoc" program, but can connect via "risql". I'm trying to determine where the problem lies. I was told by the DBA on this site that when "risql" is run with the "-s" flag that it uses odbc to connect. I need confirmation. Does "risql -s" connect via odbc? Thanks, Jack
