Interesting I'm running 7.31.FD7 - on Solaris 8 and constantly getting the global Cach lock as well. Here's truncated results from onstat -g prc and onstat -g dsc run when almost all users had 'S' in the first column with onstat -u onstat -g prc Informix Dynamic Server Version 7.31.FD7 -- On-Line -- Up 11:07:37 -- 8809472 Kbytes Stored Procedure Cache: Number of lists : 31 PC_POOLSIZE : 127Number of entries : 50 Number of entries in use : 0 onstat -g dsc Informix Dynamic Server Version 7.31.FD7 -- On-Line -- Up 11:07:12 -- 8809472 Kbytes Distribution Cache: Number of lists : 31 DS_POOLSIZE : 127Number of entries : 63 Number of entries in use : 0 It would seem that as in both cases the number of entries is less than the amount configured and as the ones in use are anywhere 0-4 this would not be issue, or is it? Any help greatly appreciated.
