Why did you select Informix New Era or Progress v7?

We have just completed an exhaustive review of several 4GL client/server development environments, which resulted in a short list of two: Informix New Era and Progress v7 (soon to be 8). I would be very interested to hear from people who evaluated these two products during their selection process, and why they selected either New Era or Progress v7. Of greatest benefit to me would be descriptions of real development situations that you thought one of the products handled in a superior way. Also, now that you've been using your selected product, is its behaviour meeting the expectations that you had of it, and if not, why? I think hearing from these two groups of developers will greatly assist us in the development of future plans. If there is significant response I would be willing to post a summary of the results.
